The finalists of the competition for the concept of the main building of the Biomedical Technology Center have been announced

house.The Russian Federation has named the finalists of the All-Russian competition for the development of an architectural concept for the new building of the central building of the Federal State Budgetary Budgetary Institution "FITZ of Original and Promising Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Technologies" and the surrounding area, the press service of the HOUSE reported.The Russian Federation that oversaw the project.

"Several generations of Russian architects are participating in the competition at once. It is the balance between bold vision and professional implementation that will determine the best work. As a result of the expert selection, two teams and four individual participants reached the final. Among the finalists are architects from IND, Wowhaus, TPO Reserve and MUZA Group, as well as two consortia: Architectural Bureau PASSPORT + Design Workshop ROST and AI-architects + TOLK. The finalists will have to develop proposals that will determine the architectural appearance of the new facility, the interior design code, the layout of the premises and the concept of landscaping.

"It is important to understand that our facility is not a medical facility, but a scientific institution, and the project is primarily aimed at those who will work there. The main thing is to attract young people. In addition, it is necessary to analyze how the surrounding urban space can be changed in terms of transport accessibility," commented Ayrat Gatiyatov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Two interim presentations of the works will take place in late January and early March 2026. After receiving feedback from representatives of the FITZ and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the finalists will be able to finalize the proposals in accordance with the customer's wishes. The results of the competition will be announced in mid-April.
