The ice town on Lenin Square in Chita opened its doors to visitors on Friday, December 26. The solemn event was attended by creative teams from the capital of Transbaikalia.

Fairy tales have become the theme of the upcoming New Year. Some of the artists tried on the images of heroes, heroes of famous Russian cartoons and other fairy-tale characters. Some of the performers also performed in Buryat national costumes.

"It can be noted that the music program has really been developed for all ages. There were remixes, Russian folk songs, children's songs, again, the heroes perform," the correspondent of ChitaMedia news agency reported.

Also, a photo zone with the numbers "2026" was installed next to the ice town, indicating the coming year. The structure was removed from the roadway on Leningradskaya and Butina streets and placed deep into the square.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that Russian-style Christmas trees have become the most important trend of the season. Instead of traditional toys and tinsel, trees are decorated with sweets and garlands of dried fruits tied with ribbons.
