Autumn remains the most profitable period for finding a job with high salaries in Russia. The director told Izvestia about this on December 29. hh.ru according to the research of Maria Ignatova.

Job seekers are increasingly ignoring vacancies without clear payment terms.

According to her, the peak of offers with the highest salaries traditionally falls on the period from September to November.

"Autumn has always been a hot season in the labor market. So, in September 2025, the average salary offer in vacancies reached 80 thousand rubles, which is about 10% higher than in January, when the average salary was about 73 thousand rubles," Ignatova said.

She added that the number of vacancies in September also turned out to be the highest for the year and exceeded 1.2 million offers across the country.

The expert explained that the increase in employer activity is associated with the end of the holiday season and the beginning of a new business cycle. Companies launch projects, approve budgets for the next year, and strive to close key positions before the end of the reporting period.

Ignatova called spring the second favorable period for job search — from February to April. After the New Year's lull, employers are starting to implement annual plans and expand their staff. This is especially noticeable in manufacturing, the financial sector, and IT, where hiring is directly linked to the launch of new projects.

At the same time, the structure of staff demand changes at the end of the year.

"In November and December, the activity of hiring for permanent positions is decreasing, but the demand for part—time and part-time employment is growing sharply," the expert noted.

So, in December 2025, the number of part—time vacancies increased eightfold compared to the first half of November - from 2 thousand to 16.7 thousand offers, and the number of part-time vacancies increased by 32%.

Maria Ignatova also stressed that the severity of seasonality depends on the industry. In the IT and telecom sectors, the demand for specialists is more uniform throughout the year, while construction and the agro-industry demonstrate active hiring from March to October. Trade, logistics, tourism and the hotel industry, on the contrary, are most actively looking for staff during holidays and vacations.
