Siberian frosts and snowfall expected in Turkey

Siberian frosts and heavy snowfall are expected in Turkey from December 26. This was announced on December 25 in a message from the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM).

"According to the latest estimates by meteorologists, Turkey will be affected by cold and rainy weather from December 26. Snow with rain and snowfall is expected in the north, central and east of the country. The perceived temperature will decrease across the country by four to ten degrees, such weather will last at least a week," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.

It is noted that the minimum temperature will reach minus three degrees in Ankara, zero in Istanbul and minus 17 in Erzurum.
