The spacecraft of the Soyuz-2.1a medium-class launch vehicle has entered orbit normally. This was announced on December 26 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"The launch of the launch vehicle and the launch of the spacecraft into the calculated orbit were carried out in normal mode," the ministry stressed.
After launch, the rocket was escorted by means of the ground-based automated control complex of the Main Test Space Center named after German Stepanovich Titov.
"At the estimated time, the spacecraft was launched into the target orbit and taken over by ground-based assets of the Aerospace Forces (Aerospace Forces — Ed.)," the Defense Ministry said.
Currently, stable telemetry communication has already been established and maintained with the device. On-board systems are operating normally.
The launch of the spacecraft took place on December 25 at 17:11 Moscow time from the State Test Cosmodrome of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (Plesetsk cosmodrome) in the Arkhangelsk region and was carried out by a combat crew of the space forces of the Aerospace Forces.
