Forecasters predicted snowy weather this weekend in Moscow

On Saturday, December 27, cold and cloudy weather is expected during the day. The wind is mainly north-westerly, with gusts up to 4 m/s. The temperature will reach 0 degrees in the morning, drop to -2 degrees in the afternoon, and remain at the same level in the evening and at night. Heavy snowfall is also expected at night.
"In the cities of the Moscow region — such as Odintsovo, Podolsk, Lyubertsy, Vidnoye and Domodedovo — the daytime temperature will be close to Moscow, about -1 degrees. Precipitation is possible in some localities," the forecasters said.
Sunday, December 21st, will also be cloudy and cold. The snowfall that started on Saturday night will last until the end of the day. The wind is easterly and southeasterly, with gusts up to 3 m/s. In the morning, the temperature will be -3 degrees, in the afternoon it will rise to -2 degrees, in the evening it will drop again to -3 degrees, and at night it will stop at -4 degrees.
In the Moscow region, the temperature background is expected to be at the Moscow level, 1-2 degrees lower in some places, and weather conditions will be similar to those in the capital.
Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said on December 24 that cloudy weather with short-term snowfalls is expected in the capital on December 31 and January 1. Daytime temperatures will range from -7 to -10 degrees, while nighttime temperatures will drop to -10...-15 degrees. He specified that the expected temperature values will be about three degrees below the long-term average for this period.
