A number of models from the brands Belgee, GAC, Geely, Haval, Jetour, Omoda and other brands are currently in short supply on the Russian car market. This was reported on December 25 by the analytical agency Autostat, citing representatives of large dealer companies.

Thus, according to Ilya Petrov, Director of retail sales at Avilon AG, there is currently a shortage among mass-market models such as the Belgee S50 and X70, the GAC GS3 and GS4, the Geely Cityray, Monjaro and Atlas with front-wheel drive, as well as the Haval Jolion with front-wheel drive in basic configurations. There are also not enough Omoda S5 sedans and Haval H3, Hongqi HS3, Jetour T2 and X70 Plus crossovers in car dealerships. The situation remains more stable in the premium segment, but the shortage is most acute in the mass market due to the high turnover and popularity of basic equipment.

"The delivery time will also be affected by the long Chinese New Year celebration period, which takes about two weeks. According to our estimates, the market for imported models will begin to stabilize no earlier than March, while localized brands will be saturated in January," Petrov said.

Rolf, Director of the New Car Sales Department, highlighted a serious shortage of Geely, Belgee, and Jetour models (in particular, Geely Monjaro and Jetour T2 crossovers). Andrey Terlyukevich, CEO of Avtospeccenter Group, listed the same crossovers, noting that the waiting period for them can range from two weeks to a month.

However, according to dealers, in general, there is no serious shortage in the Russian car market. Roman Slutsky, CEO of Alarm Motors Group, pointed out that there was increased demand in the period from August to November, and by December it had stabilized. Now, according to experts, there are about 250 thousand new passenger cars in the warehouses of dealers and distributors.

Earlier, on December 23, it was reported that by the end of 2025, 1.31–1.32 million new passenger cars will be sold in Russia. The decrease compared to 2024, when 1.57 million new cars were sold, will be 16%.
