For New Year's holidays and corporate parties, when active entertainment increases the risk of losing or damaging jewelry, silverware and laboratory diamonds are the best choice. Ekaterina Fomina, stylist of the jewelry chain 585 Zolotoy, told Izvestia about this on December 27.

According to her, these materials represent an aesthetic and rational alternative to expensive jewelry, allowing you to create spectacular images without unnecessary risks and excessive costs.

"Modern processing technologies and design solutions have allowed silver to cease to be perceived as a purely everyday metal. Rhodium plating and a variety of shapes make it suitable for evening outings, and silver can easily be combined with any color scheme of clothing and combined with other metals," said Fomina.

The stylist recommends following the principle of contrast: choose minimalistic jewelry for flashy outfits, and three—dimensional statement options for laconic images.

Laboratory diamonds, which have been the main trend in recent years, visually and physically do not differ from natural diamonds — they have the same hardness, transparency and play of light. For a layman, the difference is almost imperceptible, while such stones undergo standard certification. The key difference lies in origin and price: growing under controlled conditions without costly geological processes makes laboratory diamonds one and a half to two times more affordable than their natural counterparts with comparable quality.

Silver also benefits in value due to more affordable raw materials and processing compared to gold and platinum.

Such a choice, according to Fomina, meets the demand for reasonable consumption, allowing you to update jewelry for different looks, experiment with design and wear them regularly without fear of damage.

"This is especially true for a series of festive events, where it is important to combine a bright appearance with comfort and confidence. Modern jewelry has ceased to be just a status symbol, becoming an element of style and lifestyle, where aesthetics, practicality and a reasonable budget combine without compromise," concluded the specialist.

On December 8, stylist Ekaterina Kostromina spoke about the main trends of the New Year's dress code in the 2025/26 season. According to her, dresses made of velvet, velour and sequins are relevant.
