Passenger car production in Russia decreased by almost 13% in 11 months

In 11 months of 2025, 591 thousand passenger cars were produced in Russia, which is 12.6% lower than in the same period last year. In November, 54.1 thousand passenger cars were produced, which is 34.1% less than a year ago, according to a recent Rosstat report.

The production of trucks for the period from January to November of this year amounted to 119 thousand units, which is 32.8% lower year-on-year. In November, enterprises produced 9.9 thousand trucks (-43%).

As for the bus segment, cars with a gross weight of more than 5 tons were produced in the amount of 8.8 thousand units (-34.8%) in 11 months, 0.9 thousand units (-27.7%) in November. Buses with a gross weight of no more than 5 tons — 13.1 thousand units (-29.4%) and 1 thousand units (-16.8%), respectively.

The production of internal combustion engines for motor vehicles for 11 months amounted to 174 thousand units (-16.3%), and in November — 10.3 thousand units (-48.2%).
