The lawyer pointed out the danger of freelance medical services
Lawyer Kristina Vysotskaya told how the services of a freelance medical professional can be dangerous.
In conversation with the agency RuNews24.Ru On Wednesday, December 24, she noted that providing medical care without a license carries serious risks for both patients and health workers themselves. According to him, any medical activity — from diagnosis and treatment to injections and massage — is subject to mandatory licensing, and working without a permit violates the law.
He explained that contacting an unlicensed specialist is dangerous for the patient due to the lack of proper conditions, sterilization and documentation, which increases the risk of complications and harm to health. At the same time, the main threat to a doctor is criminal liability for illegal medical activities: if harm is caused, the very fact of not having a license is enough, even without serious consequences, writes RT.
The expert stressed that in such cases, the health worker cannot prove the absence of his guilt, since he does not keep mandatory medical records. When considering cases, the courts do not take into account either the doctor's experience or his intentions — the key factor remains the lack of a license. He mentioned working in licensed clinics, obtaining your own license, or limiting your activities to consultations without providing medical services as legal options.
On December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that he did not consider the new requirements for graduates of medical schools to work out in the compulsory medical insurance system (CHI) to be redundant. The Head of State clarified that there would be no compulsory distribution of graduates of medical universities to a specific city, the only question was to work out their specialty.
