The Livan brand has allowed the possibility of assembling cars in Russia
In Russia, the assembly of cars of the Chinese brand Livan, which is part of the Geely concern, may begin. The possibility of localization was allowed by representatives of the brand. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta on December 24.
"We are conducting a feasibility study of the localization program for evaluation by the headquarters. The company's plans for 2026 will be based on the results of the assessment," said Marina Krishtop, Head of Marketing at Livan, when asked about the brand's plans for the Russian market next year.
Currently, the Livan model range in Russia includes the compact crossover Livan X3 Pro and the larger SUV X6 Pro, as well as the S6 Pro sedan.
The length of the Livan X3 Pro is only 4,005 mm, the car is equipped with a 103-horsepower 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine coupled with a CVT. A car built in 2023 costs from 1.67 million rubles, 2024 — from 1.87 million rubles.
The 4,535 mm long Livan X6 Pro has a 1.5-liter engine in two versions (147 and 174 hp) and a seven-speed robotic transmission. The 2023 model costs from 2.04 million and from 2.15 million rubles, depending on the configuration, the prices of 2024 cars are more by 100 thousand rubles.
The S6 Pro sedan is offered with similar X6 Pro powertrains. The price of the 2023 model is 1.88 million and 1.97 million rubles, depending on the version, the 2024 model is also 100 thousand rubles more expensive.
Earlier, on December 22, it was reported that two new products from the Chinese car company JAC are planned to be presented in Russia in 2026. They will be a new modification of the T9 pickup truck and the JS9 SUV.
