On December 23, Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova attended the premiere of the Russian film based on the fairy tale "Pinocchio" directed by Igor Voloshin.

"I am sure that the new film about Pinocchio will attract a lot of viewers in cinemas across our country during the New Year holidays. I wish you to enjoy watching it!" she wrote on her Telegram channel on December 24—

She pointed out that the premiere took place in the Moscow cinema "October". The film was presented by Russian director and actor Fyodor Bondarchuk and Channel One CEO Konstantin Ernst.

Lyubimova recalled that the main filming of the film took place in the Moskino Film Park, where an Italian town of the turn of the XIX–XX centuries was built specifically for the project with a town hall square, fountains, a bakery, a pharmacy and a trattoria. More than 200 people, including 35 professional dancers, were involved in the final scene of the film, the minister said.

The main roles were played by Vitaly Kornienko, Alexander Yatsenko, Anastasia Talyzina, Alexander Petrov, Victoria Isakova, Fedor Bondarchuk and Mark Eidelstein. The film is scheduled to be released in the domestic box office on January 1, 2026.
