A new tuberculosis hospital building will be put into operation in Khabarovsk in the near future. The opening is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. The work on connecting modern equipment has already been completed.

IA AmurMedia, referring to the regional Ministry of Health, writes that the work is being carried out within the framework of the national project "Long and active life". The opening of the building will be an important step in improving the quality and accessibility of phthisiological care for residents of the region, the department said.

Medical equipment was purchased for an amount exceeding 287 million rubles. The funds were received from the federal and regional budgets.

The facility has been equipped with modern X-ray and ultrasound machines, four thoracoscopic stands for minimally invasive operations, and a CT scanner. In addition, we managed to acquire a unique complex for analyzing the function of external respiration. According to the head physician of the institution, Alexander Belmach, this will make it possible to provide a full range of high-tech medical care, including complex surgical procedures.

The new building has 140 beds. For the first time in the hospital's history, it will have full-fledged departments of anesthesiology, intensive care and surgery. There are separate floors with boxes for patients with multiple drug resistance. This will ensure their strict isolation and divide the flow of patients.

The building was equipped with a centralized ventilation system with climate control. There is a clear zoning into "clean" and "dirty" zones with access through special gateways. This is necessary to minimize the risks of nosocomial infection.

In mid-December, it was reported that an additional 10 billion rubles would be allocated to increase the salaries of doctors and nurses in 2026. Khabarovsk Territory will receive about 51 million rubles for these purposes. The corresponding order was approved by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
