HC Tampa beat St. Louis 4-1 in the NHL match

On December 23, the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match with a score of 4:1.

Already in the first minute of the game, Tampa forward Pontus Holmberg opened the scoring. In addition, defenseman Darren Raddish scored for the Lightning, as well as forwards Anthony Cirelli and Oliver Bjorkstrand. In turn, defender Justin Folk scored the only goal for St. Louis.

Russian hockey players also took an active part in the victory. Striker Nikita Kucherov provided two assists, bringing his personal best in the season to 45 points (13 goals and 32 assists) in 32 matches. Goalkeeper Andrey Vasilevsky blocked 23 of 24 shots on his own goal and was recognized as the second star of the match.

After this victory, Tampa is in second place in the Atlantic Division with 43 points, while St. Louis remains in fifth position in the Central Division with 36 points.

On the eve of the Canadian Pittsburgh Penguins striker Sidney Crosby became the top scorer in the club's history, surpassing hockey player Mario Lemieux in the number of points scored in the regular NHL championships. The team's record holder now has 1,724 points. Crosby won this mark in a home match against Montreal, scoring a goal and an assist.
