Russians report poor WhatsApp performance

Russian users complained about the malfunction of WhatsApp (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist in Russia). This follows from the data of the Glitch.rf service.

At 13:28 Moscow time, the number of complaints has already exceeded 1,700. Most of the complaints were registered from Moscow and St. Petersburg. The top 5 also includes the Moscow, Voronezh and Vladimir regions.

Anton Nemkin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, said on November 26 that blocking the WhatsApp messenger was a matter of time.

The agency also recommended enabling the "automatic session termination" option to enhance security and activate two-factor authentication (2FA).
