The State Duma proposed to increase the salaries of emergency workers during the New Year holidays. This was announced on December 22 by Sergei Mironov, chairman of the Fair Russia party.

"It is proposed to consider the expediency of introducing an additional payment procedure for emergency workers during the New Year holidays," Mironov said in an address to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, quoted by RIA Novosti.
