- The Russian President stressed the importance of books for shaping the worldview of children
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated the need to actively instill in children a love of reading and to shape their worldview through literature. He said this on December 19 during the "Results of the Year", which are summed up in a direct line format combined with a press conference.
"The most important thing is that the book forms a worldview," the head of state noted.
Putin noted that, unfortunately, the number of people reading books is decreasing, and stressed that literature must compete with modern means of communication. In addition, it is necessary to vividly and creatively convey to children the value of the book, noting that this approach will achieve the goal.
A direct line with the president in 2025 is combined with a press conference for the media. The format called "Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin" allows the head of state to convey his position not only on citizens' issues, but also on the state and global agenda, which is often asked by journalists.
