Ingosstrakh recalled the need for travel insurance

On the eve of the winter holiday season, it is necessary to pay special attention to the registration of travel insurance, especially when traveling abroad. This was recalled by Dmitry Krenev, Deputy Director of the Department for the Settlement of losses in the retail business of Ingosstrakh.

The expert separately emphasized "the importance of having comprehensive insurance coverage for extreme and sports recreation."

As an illustration, Krenev cited the case of a Russian tourist who fell on a mountainside while paragliding in the Himalayas. Due to the availability of insurance, it was then possible to organize prompt assistance, deliver the victim to the hospital in a timely manner and ensure transportation to Russia for rehabilitation.

According to Krenev, the participation of the insurance company will provide tourists in case of force majeure with "a high level of professionalism of all participants in the process: from the coordinators of the assistance service and rescuers to doctors in Russia and abroad."
