The 3I/ATLAS interstellar object has changed the color of its rays under the influence of the sun. This was reported by the Daily Star newspaper on December 16.

"The color change of the 'strange' interstellar visitor from red to green and then to gold as it approaches the Sun may mean the end of its journey," the newspaper wrote.

The article also cites the opinion of experts that comet 3I/ATLAS may be up to 14 billion years old, which is many times older than the Solar system.

Most scientists call this object a comet, but according to some, 3I/ATLAS may also be associated with something "alien."

On December 18, Harvard University scientist Avi Loeb reported a new anomaly in the 3I/ATLAS object. The new phenomenon can be explained by the fact that the axis of rotation of the 3I/ATLAS core will be aligned with the direction of the Sun with an accuracy of up to eight degrees with a small probability when the interstellar object approaches the Sun at five times the distance from Earth.

On December 1, NASA's TESS space telescope discovered 3I/ATLAS, which is considered by a number of theories as a possible alien spacecraft, almost two months before it was officially registered by astronomers. The telescope, which has been in orbit since 2018, recorded the object's movement between May 7 and June 2, 2025, 55 days before the official announcement of the discovery.

Astronomer, popularizer of astronomy and cosmonautics Alexander Kiselyov announced on November 29 that the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS will be as close to Earth as possible on December 19, at about 270 million km, after which it will leave the vicinity of the planet again.
