In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a man died while swimming in an ice hole. He was engaged in walrus diving in an artificial reservoir, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on Tuesday, November 16.
The accident occurred in the early morning in the village of Maly Imbezh, Mansko-Uyarsky municipal district. According to rescuers, a 46-year-old resident of the region decided to swim without observing safety regulations.
Having jumped into the ice hole without insurance, he could not swim back out and disappeared under the ice. At the moment, a search is underway for the body of the deceased, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.
