The Russian government plans to extend the ban on gasoline exports until the end of February 2026. This was reported to Izvestia on December 15 by a source familiar with the discussion of the issue at today's meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

The ban on gasoline exports for all market participants was in effect until the end of 2025. Diesel exports are allowed only for refineries.

On November 19, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that wholesale fuel prices had decreased. According to him, the stabilization of prices on the stock exchange became possible due to several factors: the closure of exports of petroleum products, a seasonal drop in demand, as well as the completion of repairs at refineries, which allowed to increase production.
