Roscosmos announced the postponement of the launch of the Proton-M launch vehicle
The launch of the Proton-M launch vehicle was postponed due to the discovery of inconsistencies in the upper stage of the vehicle. This was announced on December 13 by the Roscosmos Corporation.
"During the planned pre-launch checks of all systems, a local discrepancy was diagnosed in the upper stage of the rocket. The launch of the launch vehicle was postponed to eliminate the shortcomings. At the same time, the postponement will not affect the planned scientific program, and all tasks will be completed," the Telegram channel said in a statement.
Ivan Danilov, Deputy Director General of Roscosmos, noted in his commentary that the front of work had already been determined. After that, work on the preparation of the launch vehicle will continue as normal.
On December 12, a rocket with the Electro-L satellite was launched at Baikonur. It was expected that the launch of the Proton-M carrier would take place on December 15 at 15:20 Moscow time. The Electro-L satellite will monitor weather conditions around the clock.
