Dmitriev pointed out the consequences for the EU due to the indefinite blocking of Russian assets.

The European Union (EU) will face consequences due to the decision to permanently block frozen Russian assets. This was announced on December 13 by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), on the social network X.

"[Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor] Orban highlights the illegal actions of the EU, which undermine the entire Western legal and financial system," he wrote in response to a message from the Hungarian politician.

Dmitriev noted that the EU's decision on assets "will have even more serious consequences for Europe than censorship destroying civilization, mass migration, crime among migrants and bureaucratic stupidity."
