The international module of the seventh stream of the Architects program was held in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China.Russian Federation", implemented by DOM.The Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Construction and the Russian Government. During the event, one hundred Russian specialists studied the urban planning approaches of the Chinese capital, taking part in more than 30 excursions and professional events.

The Architects program.The Russian Federation“ is aimed at developing the most complex system — cities. It is also an initiative focused on sharing experiences. In recent years, we have seen a high demand from Russian specialists for Chinese practices, their reflection and analysis, in order to adapt this knowledge in our country. A visit to China allows the program participants to find a balance between architectural heritage and new construction, which is especially important for Russian cities, where issues of preserving architectural heritage and the complexity of new urban areas are also acute," said DOM Urban Environment Development Director.Russian Federation Anton Finogenov.

The program in Beijing included topics of spatial and transport planning, issues of sustainable development and the formation of a green framework of the city. A separate section was devoted to the practices of careful reconstruction of the historical environment, including the renovation of traditional Hutong neighborhoods. The participants visited workshops of Beijing architects, creative clusters, industrial parks and the new administrative district of the city, and also held meetings with representatives of relevant departments of Beijing.

During the educational excursions, the specialists got acquainted with the projects of leading local and international bureaus, including MAD Architects, Origin Architects and ECADI. The research part of the program included five thematic routes from graduate tutors "Architects.Russian Federation", with a visit to the Linked Hybrid complex and the social housing area in Baizivan.
