In Ukraine, a court has appointed a bail of more than 3 million hryvnias ($71.2 thousand) to deputy Anna Skorokhod, accused under the article on bribery. This was reported on December 9 by the Public television channel in the Telegram channel.

"The court chose a bail of more than 3 million hryvnias for People's Deputy Anna Skorokhod as a preventive measure," the publication says.

As noted by the Ukrainian edition "Country.ua", the deposit amount has already been paid. As restrictive measures, the parliamentarian is required to hand over her passport and put on an electronic means of movement control.

The anti-corruption authorities of Ukraine have charged Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod with bribery on December 5. It is clarified that the participants of the criminal group suggested that the entrepreneur apply sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) to a competitor's company, for which they requested $ 250 thousand. The People's deputy was the so-called guarantor of such a decision. It became known about the searches at Skorokhod's earlier in the day. Then she noted that she had nothing to hide, and called what was happening an attempt to pressure.

On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) revealed a money laundering scheme in the energy sector of the state, through which about $100 million passed. At that time, seven people were charged, including businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme).
