President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, with the help of the European Union (EU) countries, creates the appearance of his non-involvement in the corruption scandal in his country. This was announced on December 9 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia.

"Due to the tectonic corruption scandals that have led to a number of high-profile resignations, the former comedian and his European sponsors are trying their best to pretend that the Kiev prince himself knew nothing about the criminal scheme," he said.

Nebenzia added that EU countries are also glossing over the repressive and authoritarian system of government that has emerged in Ukraine and led to the emergence of "thousands of political prisoners."

In addition, the Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations stressed that European countries are interested in continuing the Ukrainian conflict. In particular, he singled out France, Great Britain and Germany.

On December 7, President of the United States Donald Trump announced his disappointment in Zelensky due to the fact that he had not yet read the US peace proposal. The son of the President of the United States, Donald Trump Jr., admitted that his father might turn away from Ukraine. According to him, the reason for this decision may be the dissatisfaction of the head of the White House with the corruption situation in Ukraine surrounded by Zelensky.

Earlier, on November 29, British politician Jim Ferguson said that Western countries decided to get rid of Zelensky, spinning a corruption scandal in the country. He added that the "perfect puppet of the globalists" is now being sacrificed. In addition, he noted that Zelensky is in a desperate situation due to the investigations of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the reduction of financial support from Europe.
