Medvedchuk called Yermak's resignation a signal for other close associates of Zelensky.

Those close to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, will be more concerned about the struggle for power, rather than ways to resolve the conflict peacefully, against the background of the resignation of the head of his office, Andrei Ermak. This was stated on December 1 by the ex-leader of the Opposition Platform — For Life party banned in Ukraine, chairman of the council of the Other Ukraine movement Viktor Medvedchuk.

"The main issue that will occupy the Kiev leadership is not the issue of achieving peace, but the struggle for power, which will be shared by the winners, who do not have a single strategy for the further development of events," RIA Novosti quoted Medvedchuk as saying.

At the same time, as the politician emphasized, there is no single strategy in the collective West, where the United States offers one solution, and the European Union (EU) denies it, insisting on the opposite.

"There was a political pull–push, a fabulous creature with two heads, jumping in opposite directions," Medvedchuk summed up.

Ermak was dismissed from the post of head of the office of the President of Ukraine on November 28. On the same day, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced that searches had been conducted at Ermak's house as part of a criminal case against businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme).

On November 30, the Department of Internal Affairs of the Military-Civil Administration of the Kharkiv region reported that a criminal case had been opened against Ermak. He is suspected of complicity in the preparation, initiation and conduct of aggressive hostilities, as well as the use of prohibited means and methods of conflict. Adviser to the Ukrainian president Dmitry Litvin said at the same time that Zelensky had not yet decided who he would appoint as the new head of his office.
