An air quality control post will appear in the north of Krasnoyarsk

A stationary air monitoring station will soon be opened in the north of Krasnoyarsk. It will appear in the Solnechny microdistrict, said Yulia Gumenyuk, Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The equipment will determine the content of several types of pollutants. These are sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, ammonia, nitrogen oxide and dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide.

The contractor and the regional monitoring center are currently completing preparatory work. According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the facility is scheduled to be installed by December 15.

Earlier it was reported that preparations for the new fire season have started in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The region has received equipment and special equipment purchased with the support of the federal budget.
