The ice town in the center of Chita will be built by December 26

The ice town began to be built on Lenin Square in Chita. The public space will be transformed for the New Year holidays until December 26, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Trans-Baikal Territory reports.

The square will be divided into three main zones. The first is an alley of fairy tales with characters of Russian folklore created from ice. The second is a path with figures of their cartoon characters, and the third is equipped with an entertainment area where three ice slides will be installed.

According to ChitaMedia news agency, a "winter fountain" with garlands, a New Year's tree and the residence of Santa Claus will also appear on the territory. Ice skating and hot tea on the food court will be available for the townspeople.
