Kostin called for a single Internet entry point for radio stations.
One of the key tasks is to provide a single Internet access point for listening to Russian radio stations. This was announced on November 21 during a speech at the conference "Radio in Global Media Competition" by Yuri Kostin, Member of the Board of the Foundation of the Russian Academy of Radio (RAR), Vice-President of the RAR.
"The main task is to provide a single point of entry to the Internet for listening to our radio stations. This is a very important story. It is necessary to integrate the radio player in the car, it is necessary that it can be intuitively and easily found," Kostin said.
He also noted that a year ago, over 8 million unique users of the industrial radio player were recorded and more than 23 million listeners, while by October 2025, the number of users increased to 15.5 million, and the number of listeners, respectively, increased to 1 billion minutes. In addition, a legal concept is currently being prepared within the framework of the RAR, which is aimed at legislative regulation of the industrial player as a single digital radio service and a single legal platform.
The day before, the head of the Russian Academy of Radio Broadcasting (RAR), Andrei Romanchenko, said that the monthly audience of terrestrial radio throughout Russia, according to estimates by Mediascope and the Russian Academy of Radio, exceeds 100 million people. According to him, the volume of radio listening increased by 15% in 2024, and the daily listening time of terrestrial radio stabilized in the first half of 2025 after several years of decline.
