Wild animals in Stavropol will be protected from industrial activity

The Stavropol Territory authorities have approved new requirements for the protection of wild animals in industrial activities and infrastructure operation. The new rules will take effect on March 1, 2026.

The resolution is posted on the legal information portal. The document will replace the previous requirements and will be valid until March 1, 2032.

According to the new rules, enterprises will be required to install protective devices on power lines, limit construction work during the migration and breeding of animals, and install special signs on roads.

Agricultural producers will be banned from burning vegetation and plowing land in the habitats of marmots and badgers. It is also prohibited to store and use poisons, fertilizers, and chemicals without taking measures to ensure the prevention of diseases and the death of fauna.

According to IA SevastopolMedia, companies will have to report cases of animal deaths within five days.

Earlier it was reported that Stavropol approved a limit on the production of Siberian roe deer, spotted deer and badgers. The restrictions will be in effect from August 1, 2025 to August 1, 2026.
