55 more environmentally friendly buses will arrive in Krasnoyarsk

55 more gas-powered buses will be delivered to Krasnoyarsk. The transport will be purchased from the Minsk Automobile Plant, the press service of the Mayor's office reported on Tuesday, November 18.

The buses will arrive at the motor transport company No. 5 by April 1, 2026. As Roman Odintsovo, the acting mayor of the city, explained, the delivery is part of the preparation of the regional capital for the celebration of the 400th anniversary.

Funds for the purchase of transport are included in the draft budget for the next three years. Last week, the financial document was submitted to the City Council of Deputies. It will be reviewed soon.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, 150 buses will arrive in the city by the end of this 2025 as part of the first batch of the leasing program. Currently, the main part of high-ecological transport runs on six routes and is serviced by motor transport company No. 7.

Krasnoyarsk will celebrate its 400th birthday in 2028. The regional authorities have already approved a program of preparation for the anniversary celebration. There are plans, in particular, to renovate 15 cross streets in the city center and decorate buildings with architectural lighting.
