About 2.4 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of agriculture in the Trans-Baikal Territory in 2026. Of these, 500 million rubles are federal money. This information was presented at a meeting of the Committee on Agrarian policy of the regional Legislative Assembly.

980 million rubles will be allocated to support 460 agricultural producers, writes ChitaMedia news agency. The main part of the funds — 658 million rubles — will go to help livestock and crop growers.

Another 24 million rubles will be provided to small businesses, almost 177 million rubles will be allocated for technical modernization, and 120 million rubles will be allocated to other areas.

50 million rubles have been allocated for new initiatives in agriculture, and 5 million rubles have been allocated to support aspiring farmers from among the unemployed who have been dismissed from government agencies.

Earlier in November, it was reported that five agricultural cooperatives in Transbaikalia received more than 2.4 million rubles for development. The bulk of the funds is planned to be spent on the purchase of technological equipment.
