The money will be used to hold events, arrange campsites and other accommodation facilities, and purchase equipment to promote tourism potential.
The subsidy is allocated annually, while in 2026 its amount will be higher than a year earlier. The main goal is to increase the number of tourist trips in the region.
According to ChitaMedia news agency, financial support will be provided within the framework of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry".
Earlier it was reported that Chita may introduce a tourist tax from January 1, 2026. The authorities estimated that the measure would lead to an increase in the revenue side of the budget by 15 million rubles in the first year.
