A private Ka-226 helicopter owned by JSC Concern Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant crashed in the Karabudakhkentsky district of Dagestan near the village of Achi-Su. The incident occurred at 15:10 Moscow time. This is reported by Izvestia, citing its own source.

Three ambulance crews were working at the scene. The injured were evacuated to the hospital, their condition is assessed as serious, Dagestan's Minister of Health Yaroslav Glazov told TASS.
"The KEMZ helicopter crashed near the Achi-Su settlement. As a result, four people died. The condition of one is extremely serious, two are in serious condition," the head of the department gave details.
Later, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the region said that the two victims would be transferred from the Izberbash hospital to the republican burn center. Another wounded man, who is in extremely serious condition, is not transportable, and he is undergoing intensive therapy in Izberbash.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic said that the aircraft was en route from Kizlyar to Izberbash, the TASS operational services reported that the downed helicopter destroyed a private house, fortunately, there were no casualties on the ground.

A possible cause of the crash is a technical malfunction. However, other versions of the emergency will be considered. It was previously established that the pilots tried to urgently land the helicopter on the shore of the Caspian Sea in the place where the beach is located.
"According to the survivors, there was a breakdown on board before the crash, the crew was trying to make an emergency landing. This is now the main version," the operational services said in an interview with Interfax.
A check on the incident was organized by the transport Prosecutor's office. In turn, the Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the initiation of a criminal case under part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport, which negligently resulted in the death of two or more persons").
"Investigators and criminologists went to the scene of the incident, a complex of investigative actions was organized aimed at establishing all the circumstances, causes and conditions of the incident," the press service of the Investigative Committee noted.
