89% of grain crops were threshed in Transbaikalia

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, 66.2 thousand hectares of crops were harvested, or 89% of the total area of crops. It remains to remove another 7.2 thousand hectares, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture reported on Thursday, November 6.

The gross harvest is 117.2 thousand tons, the average yield is 17.7 quintals per hectare.

Barley became the most productive, with an average of 25.3 hundredweight per hectare. Agricultural producers received 7 thousand tons of crops from it and harvested almost 3 thousand hectares of land.

Wheat was harvested on 97% of the area, 52 thousand tons of grain were received. The average yield was 16.9 hundredweight per hectare.

Farmers also harvested 27 thousand hectares of oats. This is 89% of the harvesting area, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

Earlier in November, it was reported that five agricultural cooperatives in Transbaikalia had received more than 2.4 million rubles for development. The bulk of the funds is planned to be spent on the purchase of technological equipment.
