The tour expert named the number of Russian tourists in Japan in 2025
At least 200 thousand Russians will visit Japan by the end of 2025. Dmitry Gorin, Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), announced this on Wednesday, October 29.
According to the expert, Japan is a popular destination, and the lack of direct air service does not hinder the development of tourist contacts.
"First of all, it should be noted that demand shows interest in sightseeing trips, especially during the cherry blossom and autumn maple season. To do this, it is necessary, among other things, to take care of excursions and guides in advance, as the demand is very high. It's better to plan this in advance," Gorin said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
He noted that the Japanese visa is free, it is in great demand among Russians, and it is quite easy to get it.
"Chinese airlines offer Russians convenient connecting flights at fairly affordable prices. The minimum tariffs were in the region of 45-50 thousand rubles. Now the tariff has become higher, which means an average of 60-80 thousand rubles round trip. It's just a flight, of course," the specialist concluded.
Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that Russia and Japan were discussing the possibility of resuming direct flights, RT reports. According to the diplomat, consultations between the companies are currently underway, but everything depends on the position of the Japanese government, according to the website. kp.ru .
