In France, about 50 protesters blocked the road to the Longwick oil depot in the suburbs of Dijon. This was reported on October 2 by the newspaper Dijon Actualites.

"Activists from the Solidaires, CGT, and FSU trade unions, joined by the Block Everything movement, are preventing trucks from entering and exiting," the newspaper notes.

According to the newspaper, the protesters opposed the policies of the country's new prime Minister Sebastian Lecorn and the position of his government.

The protesters also condemn the policy of exempting employers from contributions and budget cuts affecting the social security system, while "almost 10 million people today live below the poverty line," the article says.

On September 18, Acting French Foreign Minister Bruno Retaio said that more than 300 people had been detained across the country. According to the Interior Ministry, a day of inter-union strikes was held throughout France, which was attended by more than 500,000 demonstrators.

On the same day, the deputy of the National Assembly of the country, Gabriel Katala, reported that protesters in France had blocked access to the Eurolinks defense enterprise.
