He is recognized everywhere: the new Pinocchio trailer has been released
At the St. Petersburg International Content Forum (SPbIFF), they talked about new projects of NMG Film Distribution, and the main one is Igor Voloshin's Pinocchio. The reinterpretation of the classic fairy tale will be released in Russia on January 1, and the public has been presented with a new big trailer for the film, the first in several months. They also showed an exclusive fragment of the new "Christmas Trees", which were only finished filming over the weekend. About these and other rental hits — in the Izvestia report.
What was shown in the new Pinocchio trailer
The first trailer for "Pinocchio" was released in April, and it was primarily about getting to know the main characters. Actually, there were very few wooden men there, and all these months I really wanted to take a closer look at him. Now such an opportunity has finally presented itself, because the new trailer, although it lasts about the same two minutes, focuses primarily on Pinocchio. Yes, the trailer has echoes of the carnival punk that was in Igor Voloshin's early films "Nirvana" and "Me," but the main character is in contrast to the "universe" where he had to become a wooden boy.
Pinocchio is bright, simple—minded, honest - and if someone expected that we would just have another version of Pinocchio, then it is the difference in the protagonist's figure that makes all the weather in this case. There are also dances and songs. If the first trailer only had "Boo–ra–ti–no", then a new musical theme arises here. Obviously, we will hear the songs we have known since childhood in a new arrangement, and it was made personally by Alexey Rybnikov. Immediately after the presentation at the SPBIFF, the trailer was published, and you can already watch and sing along to it.
Ruzil Minekaev stars in the movie "Christmas Trees 12"
The next surprise was the screening of an exclusive segment of the comedy "Christmas Trees 12", which had just finished filming. Oddly enough, "Christmas Trees" and "Pinocchio" are connected in the most direct way. Ruzil Minekaev, the star of "The Boy's Words," plays Harlequin in "Pinocchio," and he also has a major role in "Christmas Trees." As always, "Christmas Trees" will be very stellar, and Minekaev will need to prove that he is no less a bright actor than the experienced superstar Dmitry Nagiyev — read an interview with the latter about his role in "Christmas Trees" (and not only about it) in Izvestia.
The audience was secretly shown a fragment of the new film. It's only a minute and a half, but they convey the mood instantly.
Leo and Tig go to Lake Baikal
Other projects presented at the SPbIFF include the upcoming release of "Alter", a fantasy action film by Timo Vuorenzola ("Iron Sky"), starring Tom Felton (Draco from "Harry Potter"). It will be released on September 18.
A new poster and trailer were also shown about Alexey Chadov's adventure comedy "(Not)artificial Intelligence." This is a story about the friendship of an experimental robot named Apostol and a first-year student, Zhenya, played by Leon Kemstach from The Words of a Kid. The film is released on October 2. The main feature of the project is a unique costume of an anthropomorphic exoskeleton robot, designed specifically for filming. There will be a lot of family projects: "Finnik 2" (October 23), "Yaga on our head" (November 13), "Three cats. Time Travel" (December 11) — and there will be more to come.
A special gift to the audience is the premiere of the teaser (actually almost a full—fledged trailer) of the animated film "Leo and Tig. The road to Lake Baikal". The animated full-meter will be released on May 14, 2026, and, as the name implies, the adventures will unfold on the lake and in its surroundings, but there is still a way to get there. The heroes need to bring home the lost seal Lufi. We will meet here the red panda Ju, the monkey king Wukong, the leader of the herd of horses Tengri Khan, but most importantly — the owner of Lake Baikal, the great dragon Lusud. The filmmakers came up with a legend about him specifically for the project, but it seems authentic. All this is very intriguing, especially since we didn't see all these characters in the teaser.
Well, another big intrigue is the grandiose Black Silk project. It is shrouded in mystery, it is almost impossible to find out about it now, but there is a date — February 21, 2027. It seems like it's still a long time coming, but big projects are starting to be prepared in advance. This is the case here, and there will probably be more details about this film soon, but for now, its predecessor, Red Silk, is successfully gathering full houses in Chinese cinemas. And people keep walking.
