According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, the tourist flow to the Krasnodar Territory in the off—season may grow by 25%, to the Crimea - by 50% due to the opening of Krasnodar airport. Oksana Bulakh, commercial director of the National Corporation Alian, informed Izvestia about this on September 11.

"This is the velvet season, and, of course, they are actively booking sanatoriums for the off—season," she said.

The expert also called it good news for tourists. According to her, an increase in the flow of business and business trips is predicted, as many employers are not ready to send their employees due to the fact that trains run for at least a day, if we talk about Moscow.

According to Bulakh, travel agents and tourists also asked about the opening of this airport. In her opinion, "the more we hope for it, the sooner it will be revealed." The expert also noted that there has been interest in this issue all the time.

"The average cost of a round-trip ticket is now somewhere between 22-24 thousand rubles. In principle, this is a more or less reasonable price. <...> Azimut Airline also announced international flights from Uzbekistan and Armenia," she said.

Earlier that day, Aeroflot launched ticket sales for flights to Krasnodar from Moscow and other regions of Russia. She will make her first scheduled flight to Krasnodar from the capital on September 17.

The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation announced that Krasnodar airport will be open for flight service from 09:00 Moscow time on September 11. The agency recalled that it had not operated flights since the end of February 2022 for security reasons.
