Iran and the IAEA have agreed on the terms of cooperation on the nuclear program
Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have agreed on new terms of cooperation after the suspension of cooperation and the termination of inspections at the country's nuclear facilities. This was announced on September 9 by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi.
"Iran and the IAEA have entered into a series of intensive negotiations aimed at creating a new mechanism to fulfill Iran's safeguards obligations and ensure continued cooperation," Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying.
It is specified that the Director General of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, and Araqchi signed a new agreement on the resumption of cooperation between Tehran and the agency.
Earlier, on September 8, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said that the full resumption of inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Iran would reduce the likelihood of military strikes on the country's nuclear facilities. According to him, if the IAEA starts conducting inspections in Iran, it will help reduce the risks of military action.
