Three forest fires were recorded in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, forest fires have engulfed 267 hectares. All three fires are located in the north of the region, in the Evenki forest area.

235 people, 47 pieces of equipment and 17 aircraft are involved in extinguishing fires. The situation is under control, there is no threat to the nearest settlements, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

Earlier, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment stated that climate change has led to an increase in fire-prone areas in Russia. Against this background, the authorities have increased funding for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Transbaikalia to fight fires.
