Transbaikalia to purchase new fire fighting equipment

The Trans-Baikal Territory has begun to prepare for the purchase of special forest fire equipment in preparation for the fire season. This was announced on Wednesday, September 3, according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources.

There are plans to purchase 10 bulldozers, five tractors and the same number of trawl trailers. The purchase will significantly increase the efficiency of forest fire stations.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, special equipment will be sent to the district sites of Zabaikalleskhoz. The machines will ensure the mobility and speed of delivery of equipment directly to the fire extinguishing site.

Earlier it was reported that a drone control Center for fighting forest fires will appear in Transbaikalia. The structure will be organized on the basis of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and will be headed by the head of the UAV groups.
