What is interesting about Jordan
• Direct flights have been established between Russia and Jordan. Royal Jordanian operates flights between Domodedovo Airport and Amman on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flight time barely exceeds five hours. You can also fly to Jordan on connecting flights with connections in Istanbul, Ankara or Sharjah, and then you can land in the resort city of Aqaba on the Red Sea coast.
The main attraction of Jordan is the ancient city of Petra, which is considered one of the modern seven wonders of the world. It was carved into the sandy rocks of the desert valley of the Arava before our era. The building complex often appears in movies, it can be seen in the films "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". Another desert, Wadi Rum, became the filming location for the movie "The Martian."
• Aqaba is the center of beach holidays in Jordan. The season lasts from September to May, and the sea is available for swimming all year round. The beaches of Aqaba are mostly sandy and shallow-Galician, most belong to hotels on the first line of the sea. Tourists can go diving in addition to beach holidays.
• Jordan also has the Dead Sea. The saltiest body of water in the world is located about an hour's drive from Amman Airport. A developed hotel infrastructure has been built around it, and accommodation in it is cheaper than in Israel located on the other side.
