Information about the reduction of employees' salaries due to the possible transition to a four-day work week is speculation. This was stated by a representative of AvtoVAZ, <url> Magazine reports on July 30, commenting on online publications that after changing the work schedule, AvtoVAZ would reduce employee salaries by 20% and remove overtime, for which allowances were due.

It is also impossible to say that AvtoVAZ has already decided to switch to a four-day working week from September 29, the company representative said. He stressed that the decision on the "four-day period" is still being discussed and has not been made.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ stated that a possible change in the operating mode was due to general trends in the Russian automotive market. The company cited the high key rate and stricter regulatory requirements for car loan borrowers as the reasons for the difficult market situation.
