The most expensive vacation in July cost a Russian more than 2 million rubles.
A record amount was spent on a vacation in July by a Russian who spent eight days in a five-star hotel in Bodrum, Turkey: such a vacation cost 2,163,000 rubles, and only breakfast was included in the price. On July 27, analysts of the OneTwoTrip travel planning service told Izvestia about the most expensive hotel bookings made by tourists in the middle of summer.
According to their data, in second place was a 16-day vacation in Xiamen, China, where a large group of six people (including one child) went. All this time they stayed in a five-star hotel with breakfast, paying 1,634,100 rubles for it.
"Two travelers spent an equally impressive sum of 1,485,700 rubles on a trip to Koh Samui in Thailand. They spent 19 days in a five—star resort hotel near Chaweng Noi Beach, and the price included only breakfast," the analysts noted.
Also in the top were long vacations in Valencia and Cannes. In Spain, a parent and child rented a room in a five-star hotel for 27 days for 1,181,550 rubles (meals were not included in the price). And in France, two adults stayed in an apartment for the same number of days, also without food, paying 1,027,500 rubles.
"Sochi turned out to be the leader of the Russian rating: 27 days in a five—star hotel with two meals a day cost two travelers 1,364,800 rubles," the service shared.
This is followed by a vacation in Adler, where a family of three (with one child) rested for 11 days in a five-star resort hotel with two meals a day, paying 1,088,800 rubles.
In third place was a trip to Novorossiysk: two adults spent 24 days at a recreation center without stars, spending 768,000 rubles on housing.
The list also includes trips to St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, and in both cases families with children were on vacation. Five Russians (including one child) went to the Northern capital; six days in a five-star boutique hotel with breakfast cost 612,400 rubles. And in Ozerki, a family of three (including a child) booked accommodation for nine days at a four-star recreation center with three meals a day for 570,700 rubles.
Earlier, on April 18, the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG) and booking services reported on the growing demand for travel with children. According to Tutu, such bookings have more than doubled for the May holidays and 2.6 times for the summer.
