The Board of Directors approved new measures to support ITS participants
On June 2, the Government Commission on Legislative Activity approved an initiative according to which participants in a special military operation (SVO) who were unable to resume service due to their health condition within three months will receive financial assistance. This was reported by Izvestia's sources in the government. The document is available to the editorial staff.
As explained by Vladimir Gruzdev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Lawyers of Russia (AYUR), the initiative is aimed at protecting the labor rights of ITS participants.
"Amendments are being made to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, as well as to the legislation on civil service. Currently, it has been established that military personnel whose employment contract or service contract has been suspended must return to work within three months after completing their military service," he said.
The new support measures establish that if military personnel are unable to resume their work within three months after completing military service for health reasons, the suspension of their employment contract or service contract will be extended for the period of temporary disability.
In addition, he noted that during the period of temporary disability, these persons will be assigned and paid an appropriate allowance.
"The changes are aimed at providing financial assistance to military personnel who do not have the opportunity to resume their "civilian" work due to their health," summed up the Chairman of the Board of the AYUR.
On May 28, it was reported that the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill that stipulates that the spouses of deceased participants in their military operations can use their vehicles before issuing a certificate of inheritance. The document provides for a mechanism for the notary to issue a certificate of the spouse's right to temporary use of a vehicle, which was the personal property of the deceased participant of the SVO.
